Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will really want to hurt him. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Still, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.
Size Difference
As both boxers engaged in the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really proceeding.
